The Cloud: What is it?!
The cloud is a term used to describe a network of remote servers that are accessible over the internet. These servers are hosted by third-party companies, known as cloud providers, and are used to store, process, and manage data and applications. The term “cloud” refers to the fact that the exact location of these servers is typically unknown to the end-user and that the services provided by the servers are delivered over the internet, as if they were “in the cloud.” Cloud computing allows users to access computing resources on-demand , without having to invest in and maintain their own IT infrastructure. This can include services such as storage, processing power, software applications, and even artificial intelligence and machine learning capabilities.
